Celebrating Energy's First Trip Around the Sun!

This week marks a special anniversary — Energy is turning one!

It's been exactly one year since my book Energy was launched into the world. What started as a collection of thoughts about our most precious resource has grown into a movement of people taking charge of their energy.

The incredible feedback and stories you've shared about how the concepts have changed your lives have been the most energising gift I could have received. Your emails, messages, and comments have filled my energy cup to overflowing!

Over the past year, the world has continued to pull at our energy from every direction. The need to consciously protect and direct our life force has become even more essential.

To celebrate this milestone, I want to share some powerful energy practices that didn't make it into the book:

  1. The 90-second energy reset. When you feel your energy dropping during the day, try this: Stand up, shake out your limbs vigorously for 30 seconds, take 30 seconds of deep belly breathing, then spend 30 seconds visualising white light filling your body from head to toe. This quick reset interrupts energy-draining patterns and creates an immediate shift.

  2. Energy boundaries for digital spaces. Create a digital force field by setting your phone to Do Not Disturb during your high-energy periods. Take it further by using visualisation - before opening social media or email, imagine yourself surrounded by a protective bubble that filters out negative energy while allowing positive connections.

  3. The energy audit 2.0. Beyond identifying what drains and fuels you, track your energy patterns for two weeks on a scale of 1-10. Note the time of day, what you're doing, who you're with, and how you feel. Look for the patterns - you'll likely discover your personal energy blueprint that goes deeper than general recommendations.

  4. Relationship energy contracts. For your closest relationships, have an honest conversation about energy needs. "When I'm depleted, I need quiet time alone", or "When I'm stressed, I need verbal reassurance." Creating explicit energy agreements prevents misunderstandings and preserves everyone's resources.

  5. Strategic energy investments. Just as financial investors think about ROI, get strategic about where you put your energy. Before committing to anything, ask: "What's the energy return on this investment?" Some activities may cost energy initially but generate massive returns later.

These practices build on the foundation in the book, giving you new tools to refine your energy mastery. They represent the evolution of my thinking as I've continued to study how energy works in our complex lives.

As Energy celebrates its first birthday, I'm filled with gratitude for all of you who've embraced these principles and made them your own. You've taken the concepts and adapted them to your unique lives, creating ripples of positive energy that extend far beyond what I could have imagined.

The book may be one year old, but our energy journey continues. Each day brings new opportunities to get, guard, and give our energy in ways that serve our highest good and the good of those around us.

What has been your biggest energy insight this past year? Which of these advanced practices resonates most with your current energy needs? I'd love to hear how the principles have shown up in your life!
